Privacy policy

AceIt (aceitnow.in) is a small study app for Class 7–10 students, built and run by Chaitra as an individual. This page explains what AceIt collects, why, and who it is shared with.

The short version

• We collect as little as we can: your Google name and email if you sign in, and how many questions you have asked.
• Your questions are sent to AI services to be answered, and are kept in a private usage log.
• We don't sell your data, and there are no ads or advertising trackers.
• You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

What we collect

• If you sign in with Google: your name, email address and the date you signed up. We never see your Google password.
• Question counts: how many questions you have asked each tutor, so we can apply the free limits.
• Your questions: the text of each question you ask a tutor, with the tutor, class and whether a chapter was uploaded. These go into a private usage log that we use to fix problems and improve the tutors.
• Uploads: chapters (PDF, text or page photos) you upload are held in the server's memory only while you use them. They are not saved to a database and disappear when the server restarts.
• In your browser: a random visitor id (to count free questions before sign-in) and your sign-in token. These are stored on your device, not used for tracking.

How we use it

• To answer your questions and make quizzes.
• To apply the question limits.
• To find and fix problems, and to improve the app.

We don't use your data for marketing, and we don't send promotional email.

Who we share it with

AceIt relies on these services to work. Each receives only what it needs:

• Anthropic (Claude) and Groq: your questions, chat history and uploaded chapter text or page images, to write answers and quizzes.
• Google: sign-in, reading text from page photos (Cloud Vision), and storing the usage log (Google Sheets).
• Neon (database, Singapore), Render (server, Singapore) and Vercel (website): hosting.

Some of these services are based outside India, so your data may be processed in other countries. We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.

Children

AceIt is made for school students, many of whom are under 18. A parent or guardian should agree to their child using AceIt and signing in, and may sign in on the child's behalf. Please remind children not to type personal details (like phone numbers or addresses) into their questions. Parents can ask us to see or delete their child's data by email.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details, question counts and usage log until you ask us to delete them, or until we shut the app down. Uploaded chapters are not kept (see above).

Your choices

• You can use AceIt without signing in (with fewer questions).
• You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by emailing support@aceitnow.in. We aim to reply within 7 days.

Security

All traffic to AceIt uses HTTPS, and our database provider encrypts stored data. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep access limited to what the app needs.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
